Tiger Terms of Service
Owner is Owner's Agent, who shall be referred to herein as "Shipper", warrants that he/she is the registered legal owner of the vehicle, or that is has been duly authorized by the legal owner to enter into this agreement.
1. Carrier Authorization
The vehicle(s) will be transported by one of our trucking affiliates, who shall be referred to herein as "Carrier". Shipper agrees to allow Tiger Auto Transport to act as its agent in dealing with the Carriers, and to exercise its efforts on Shipper’s behalf in placing the order with the Carrier they deem fit. Said Carrier will route vehicle(s) from origin to destination by a suitable route and does not agree to any specific routing. The Carrier is authorized by shipper to operate and transport Shipper's motor vehicle(s) between its pick-up location and the destination set forth on this shipping order bill of lading
2. Pickup & Delivery Agents
Shipper designates persons listed at pick-up point and final destination, as the appointed agents for the purpose of picking up and delivering the owner's vehicle(s). All claims must be noted and signed off on, at time of delivery, regardless of time of day or dirty condition of vehicle(s), and submitted to "Carrier" within 24 hours, in writing, specifying the damage claimed and must be accompanied by two written estimates for repair and photographs of the damage within 5 business days.
3. Freight Charges & Damage Claims
In the event that there are any problems regarding truck pick-up or delivery, all outstanding freight charges must be paid without deductions at delivery. The Shipper agrees to properly note any damage claimed while the driver is making the delivery and to pay the balance for delivery charges in cash or certified funds. Shipper warrants that he/she will pay all tariffs due to Tiger Auto Transport for delivered vehicles and will not seek to offset any dispute for damage claims or services rendered. United States Department of Transportation regulations require that all tariffs be paid in full before a claim can be processed.
4. Door-to-Door Transport Conditions
Pick-up and delivery are from your door (except Alaska and Hawaii and port-to-port) unless residential area restrictions apply, such as weight restrictions, overhanging trees, steep hills, cul-de-sacs, etc. Tiger Auto Transport agrees to provide a Carrier to pick-up and deliver your vehicle(s) as promptly as possible in accordance with your instructions but cannot guarantee pick-up or delivery on a specified date.
5. Estimated Delivery Timing
Tiger Auto Transport shall use its best efforts to arrange to have vehicle(s) picked up within scheduled window and delivered within 2 to 14 days. As is standard in the motor freight industry, although we are able to provide an estimated delivery date, Carrier cannot guarantee a delivery date. Shipper understands that Carrier is subject to delays beyond its control, due to weather, road conditions, mechanical breakdowns or repairs to tractor/trailer equipment, supply and demand of trucks and drivers, etc. in regard to pick-up and delivery. Neither Carrier nor Tiger Auto Transport is responsible for car rentals. Alaska and Hawaii shipments can be an additional 5-10 days delivery time.
6. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation: Both customer and company may cancel a booking for a full refund, prior to a carrier being assigned to the shipment, provided the customer has allowed Tiger Auto Transport at least 3 business days of booking efforts, from the first available date of pickup. If 3 business days have passed on the first available date and a carrier is not assigned and the customer chooses to cancel, a full refund will be granted. If a carrier has been assigned and the customer chooses to cancel after that, the customer is subject to a cancellation fee in the amount of $250 dollars. If the order has been prepaid in full, the customer will receive a refund after the deduction of the $250 dollar cancellation fee is applied. Once a vehicle has been picked up by the assigned carrier, the cancellation refund will no longer be permitted or fees waived.
7. Inoperable & Oversized Vehicles
If your vehicle is inoperable or oversized or customized (longer than 16 feet, dual wheels, pick-up or van, racks, etc.), please inquire as to extra charges. If Carrier is not advised of inoperable, oversized or customized vehicles prior to pick-up, all extra charges will be added to COD charges at time of delivery. An additional fee of up to two hundred dollars will be added for inoperative vehicles. An additional fee of up to three hundred dollars will be added for the oversized vehicles.
8. Missed Delivery & Terminal Handling
If Shipper is not available at delivery after attempting notification of arrival, the vehicle will be delivered to a terminal, at drivers’ discretion, and there will be an extra charge for storage and delivery applied to the customer. All COD and additional charges must be paid before the location release of vehicle(s).
9. Luggage and Personal Items Policy
Luggage and personal property must be confined to trunk and must not exceed 50-100lbs in the trunk of the vehicle only, Suv’s in the back trunk area, with the seat up, below the window line. Trucks, personal items must be 100lbs or less in the cab of the truck, not the bed and not to obstruct carriers view. Carrier is not liable for damage cause to vehicle(s) from excessive or improper loading of personal items. Carrier is not licensed to carry household goods or personal items and will not be responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings, including, without limitation, and personal property, which is not factory installed, that are not a part of the vehicle. Any cost, damages, sit time, or citations issued to Carrier due to or caused by excess weight of vehicle(s) or personal items in vehicle(s) will be the sole responsibility of the Shipper. .
10. Prohibited Items and Legal Disclaimers
The following items are not to be in the vehicle(s) at time of shipment: explosives, guns, ammunition, flammable products, narcotics, negotiable and legal papers, alcoholic beverages, jewelry, furs, money, or other articles of unusual value, alive pets, plants or contraband. Federal law prohibits auto carriers from transporting household goods. Any personal items left in your vehicle are NOT covered by the truck's insurance; you are personally liable for anything damaged during transport. Absolutely nothing allowed inside the vehicle of the car, limit to 50-100 lbs. in the trunk. If you do load items in your vehicle and did not tell us, the driver can refuse to pick up your vehicle, and or pick it up and charge you any amount he sees fit upon delivery for transporting your goods. Most of the time they will not discuss this with you at pick up they will just charge you upon delivery so do yourself a favor and don't load objects up the inside of the vehicle.
11. Carrier Liability and Claims Process
The Carrier transporting the vehicle(s) shall be liable for all damage claims arising from the transport. The Shipper agrees to file all claims with such Carrier as identified on the bill of lading/delivery receipt and to bring any legal action for damages against such Carrier only. The Shipper agrees to release and hold harmless Tiger Auto Transport from any such claims. All Carriers hired for truck transport have insurance on file with Tiger Auto Transport, which is available to Shipper upon request. Tiger Auto Transport will furnish Shipper with the name and phone number of Carrier used for transport and will assist Shipper in providing any other necessary information, should a claim arise, upon customers’ request.
12. Payment Terms and Customer Responsibilities
PAYMENT: Customer understands when placing an order over the phone they will be provided with an invoice payment link via email, at the time of making the reservation, either to pay the minimum deposit of $250 or more, if the customer chooses to pay more down or do a full prepay for the total amount, of their shipment. Customer understands they are being emailed the invoice payment link and a receipt for the payment is available for download upon completion of the payment. Customer understands when placing an order and payment online through our website that the same rules apply. At no point will we ask for your debit card, credit card, or routing and account number over the phone, unless help is Soley requested by the customer, for assistance, due to no computer or internet connection. Customer agrees when paying online, they are the authorized user of said credit card, debit card or routing and account number or have the sole permission of the account holder to make a payment and customer takes full responsibility for any payment related issues arising from their own doing. The customer understands when paying a min deposit down, that the remaining balance of the transport cost will be due cash on delivery to the driver in either cash or cashier’s check. No personal checks are permitted. Cashier’s check needs to be made out to the carrier company’s name. Customers understands and agrees they are authorizing Paullex Inc. dba Tiger Auto Transport to process their transaction in accordance of their preferred request. Customer understands they waive the right to dispute a payment with Paullex Inc. dba Tiger Auto Transport and their financial institution in regards to any payment made by the customer relating to the transport of their vehicle.
